is very nice !
everythinfg works just fine - except- when i plug in headphones - no autodetect or sound output!
hotkeys all work etc. screen dim control is functional as are audio hotkeys. but no headphone detection which sucks large balls(hairy ones)
kinda essential for using it on the train etc
please dont make me go back to windows , as when i reinsatlled a non oem/recovery partition version(old ben version) i had the same problem anyway as windows would autodetect the card as "high definition audio device"
and wouldnt let me change the driver because apparently its clever(read stupid as feck).
have looked all over for a solution but this netbook isnt a very popular one and im scared i will break something.
canihas noobiewalkthrough of how i might fix it.

its an advent milano w7(the w7 just stands for the windows distro it came with)
or a rebadged ECS V10IL3 according to the back and the advent users forum.
linux is cool but this problem makes it unusable for me.
tried the manual switch in the sound options but still no dice(no sound in the headphones).
also does anyone know of the best equivalent for Virtual dj for linux?
it has to have the virtual deck interface as im so used to it....
