Try this

sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
If not perhaps the simplest way is to boot into "recovery mode" and take care you are root
If you have an internet connection here - start Envy
Reboot when ready
If not
Then edit xorg.conf
nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Change driver in Section "Device" to "vesa"
Reboot
When you have booted normally start Envy
