How to install driver for Nvidia 7600 Go?

Please, can anybody write down step-by-step tut?

I downloaded driver for linux but when I " sh name.of.driver.run" it outputs error for X server ( I'm newbie so I don know that that is... :mrgreen: ).

Curious, have you tried Envy, the program that comes with Mint which automatically installs restricted drivers for Nvidia/ATI. Its in system tools.
If you want to go manually, this website details pretty well

Replace steps #3,7 with the folder you're install is in, and skip step 5 since you already downloaded it.

I heard that installing with envy isn't good... Card doesn't use all potential...

i installed an older version (96.43) with envy without problem. The more recent driver gave too much freezes on my 7300GS. After you installed an nvidia driver with envy you will see the driver enabled but not installed in the daryna --> restricted driver menu entry. That does not matter.
