Floppy permission problem

Post by glas » Thu Mar 08, 2007 8:44 am

Tried to transfer a file on the desktop to a floppy but Mint refuses to allow read/write privileges and going into permissions tab to change them does not help.

Transferring files to a floppy disk should be a simple process, n'est pas?

Je pensé tres simple, mon ami
But don't think I know french :)
Unfortunately Linux is not simple in this respect...
Have you checked your fstab? For the floppy it should read:
/dev/ /media/floppy0 auto rw,user,noauto 0 0

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
