Postby grimdestripador » Tue Apr 03, 2007 10:43 pm

Visit Linux Mint Software:
http://www.linuxmint.com/software/
Click "System Tools"
Click "Truecrypt"
Use the mintInstall utility.

//Truecrypt Commands

//Create Container File
/usr/bin/truecrypt --create test.tc

// Make truecrypt runable by users
sudo chmod u+s /usr/bin/truecrypt

// Mount encrypted file into user accessible folder
truecrypt --user-mount test.tc test_mnt_dir

// Umount
truecrypt --dismount test.tc

Last time I checked, automatix removed truecrypt.
So, Do do it manually. by going to http://www.truecrypt.org and downloading the ubuntu edgy package (assuming bianca).
extract it.
use sudo dpkg -i package.deb
or just right click it.

You could compile the source,

Checked again, and Truecrypt is now supported in the Linux Mint Software through mintInstall. Will edit the original post.

Also, kudos to those on the mintWiki who correctly cited this article.
