Linux Raid Drive that is 4tb reports 2tb

Post by theedudenator »

This drive was originally 2tb (4x 1tb disks raid 10)
I slowly upgraded drives, now I have (4x 2tb disks raid 10)
This should be 4TB but it is showing 2TB.

See the attachment
Shows Volume is 4TB but capacity is actually 2TB

I am not familiar with RAID, but this sounds like the 2 TB limitation of a drive with a MBR partition table. A GPT partition table does not have this limitation.

Sorry I cannot give the exact command for mdadm but read the man page or do a Google search for instructions on expanding/growing the RAID device.
