An error occurred while mounting the partition.

Post by volp »

An error occurred while mounting the partition. The 1Tb drive is fully formatted for ext4, used as a file storage. I accidentally created a symbolic link to this disk in the root of the same disk. I saw that I got recursion. I tried to delete the link, I gave an error. After the reboot is no longer mounted.

Code: Select all

Error mounting system-managed device /dev/sdb1: Command-line `mount "/mnt/d5c0795e-627a-410c-9b5c-30936033cf28"' exited with non-zero exit status 32: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sdb1,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error

In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail or so.

fsck.ext4 -f /dev/sdb1

Code: Select all

2fsck 1.42.13 (17-May-2015)
fsck.ext4: Attempt to read block from filesystem resulted in short read при попытке открыть /dev/sdb1
Could this be a zero-length partition?
The disk is full by 80%. Can I fix errors without formatting, with saving the information?
