USB drives are mounted read-only

Post by DeltaTango »

Hello.
I use a LM Cinnamon 18 (upgraded from 17.3) and I have a problem with USB flash drives: they are all mounted as read-only and I cannot copy anything in there.

I have tried with three of them, with the same problem. They all used to work without problems on this very same computer.
I have tried reformating using the OS, which was processed with no error, but the flash drives still is read-only.
I have tried them on another OS (Xubuntu 16.04) and they are not read-only.
I have checked the rights of the folder (/media/<user name>/<storage device name>) and my user is the owner with rwx rights over it.

Any idea ?
