Newish to Mint, running 18.3 Mate. Updated to level 4.
I have a 1TB HDD. It is free space - unallocated. I would like to create a 250GB partition in this for encrypted documents - LibreOffice.
When I try to do this using the Disks Manager I end up with:
"Error creating partition"
Don't know how to create partitions this partition table of type `PMBR' (udisks-error-quark, 0)
In the Disk Manager menu I chose 'Compatible with Linux systems (ext4)'
My PC is dual boot but both boots run off other drives.
Any help gratefully received.

Re: Create Partition in 1TB HDD
Try using Gparted instead. If you don't have it installed, you can get it through Software Manager.

A good recommendation for me too.
Just used it to recover an unmounted partition.
