In Mint Cinnamon 17.3 one of my USB no longer will show up under Devices in the home folder area. Inserting and removing the USB does play the appropriate sound to indicate it's recognized at some level. The USB contains a new OS to install.
If I switch OS to Mint Cinnamon 19 the same USB does show up under Devices like it should.
A 2nd USB which only has files does show up in Mint 17.3
I'm not sure how to get the USB to show up again in Mint Cinnamon 17.3

Re: USB not listed in Devices
So now the USB on Mint Cinnamon 17.3 does show up under Devices after installing Mint MATE 19.1 on the USB.
I've had to use Mint Cinnamon 19 "Make bootable USB". The 3 previous iso before MATE 19.1 would not show up under Devices on 17.3 but now this one does.
I've never had a problem in 3 years until a couple of weeks ago.
The only thing that stands out to me is the 3 previous iso were all 32 bit systems. The MATE that now shows up is 64 bit.
Is there something about the 32 bit iso that would cause this invisibility on 17.3 but show up normally with 19.
