Is it possible to clone Mint to a mSata drive?

Post by Swampthing » Fri Jun 21, 2019 4:34 pm

My Mint machine is a Lenovo L520 with a 500GB Harddrive and I'm considering buying a 240 GB mSata drive and boot from that, so Mint can boot faster and maybe speed this machine up a bit.
So my question is:
1) Is cloning possible? or
2) should I do a clean install on the mSata and then wipe the harddrive?

You can use clonezilla to clone the partition. Source partition should be smaller than the destination partition size.
If I have helped you solve a problem, please add [SOLVED] to your first post title, it helps other users looking for help, and keeps the forum clean.

I am using Mint 19.2 Cinnamon 64 bit with AMD A8/7410 processor . Memory 8GB
