Hey all - I have a friend whose young daughter spilled water on her older Macbook Pro....which has killed it quite dead.
That being said, the hard drive survived and she asked me if I could take a look and get any files off. I don't have a Mac, but I know Mint can read from Apple HFS+ file systems by default.
I've installed her old drive in my external enclosure and Mint recognizes it and I can view the partitions in Gparted, but when I try to mount the main 'OSX' partition, I get the following error:
Any ideas how I can clear this to mount her drive and get her files off?
I had done this to another gentleman's older iMac desktop a few years ago and retrieved his files with no issues, so I know it's possible...
Thanks for any help!

Re: Mounting Mac OSX drive fails?
Never mind - managed to solve it!
Ran this command, after which it mounts for read-only fine!
