copying to external HDD stuck (too slow)

I have an external hdd (ADATA HV620S) I used for backup large files (more than 20GB file size) in windows.
now, I am switching to linux. my problem is that copying these large files not working.
copying speed goes from 30MB to less than 2MB after 1GB transfer. (I have USB2 not USB3)

How are you copying the files?

I tried Nemo's copy paste, also midnight commander and cp. mc and nemo show me a drop to 1MB per second speed after 1GB transfer of a 20GB file. cp stuck for hours.

still too slow. I copy at 30MB per second on this drive in win but here is too slow.
I tried big_writes in mount options and helped a bit. made it ~3MB per second faster.
any other solution?
