Mint 20.2 - Lenovo E540 nvme disk not working

Post by Bitumen »

Downloaded Mint 20.2 and booted from LiveUSB. The linux kernel cannot communicate with the nvme SSD drive.
I tried several 5.4.x and 5.11.x kernel versions without success.

I always get this errors:

Code: Select all

[ 39.279534] ata2: link is slow to respond, please be patient (ready=0)
[ 43.959536] ata2: COMRESET failed (errno=-16)
My device runs kernel 4.15.0-156 without error.
