I made a huge mistake and accidentally unplugged the USB connection between the desktop and the external HD. It has not show up in any Linux administrative app. I have rebooted, unplugged the power cord and plugged it back in and reinserted the USB connector. Nothing. This is a 5TB WD external and has been flawless. What do I do to make the desktop play nice with it?
A thumbdrive shows as plugged in and the internal drive is visible along with the optical drive. The internal HD is partitioned into W10 and Linux Mint 20.3. I am always current with updates and scans.

OK, booted to the W10 side of the house and it saw the HDD. So I booted back to Linux Mint and it saw the HDD also. A reboot did not do it but a boot from scratch sure did.
