trash problem after setting auto-mount of external drive

I would have responded in the same thread as the comment below, but it's locked:

The "Trash" feature doesn't work on mounted disks. is it because of their format "NTFS" or else?
When I try to delete something after setting my external drives to auto-mount on boot, I get errors such as:

snipad.jpg: Unable to find or create trash directory for /mnt/usb-Seagate_BUP_Slim_00000000NABK014K-0:0-part1/New Biz Focus/images/snipad.jpg

One user had mentioned running the Configure Thunar program, but I am not locating that program. Is it a sudo command?

I will undo the auto mount for now.
