SOLVED: USB/SD won't auto-mount after upgrade to Mint 21

Post by HimalayanRider »

Just had a lengthy but straightforward upgrade from Mint 20.3 to 21 (thanks for a great tool!). Loving 21 so far, but found one issue that I can't find an answer to:-

When plugging a drive into USB port or SD card reader, the drives do not auto-mount (as they did in 20.3). I can see and mount them via the Disks utility, but would prefer to auto-mount at plug-in!

Been using various Linux distros for 10 years or so, but certainly no expert!

Thanks in anticipation of some help.

Not sure what I have done, but after a lot of checking (I don't remember changing anything) and a reboot everything seems fine. Was it just the reboot needed? No idea...
Thanks again for looking.
