Accessing Mint partition from outside of Mint

Postby PiMinto » Tue Feb 21, 2012 6:12 am

I can't access my Mint partition from another o/s. If I try mount from fedora it wants a password, the only one I set in Mint was root, and that doesn't work in this case.
Also I've tried using Clonezilla to image the partition and it failed (no useful error message but I'm guessing it's because of the protection). How do I fix this?

To access your Mint partition you have to make a samba password

Code: Select all

sudo smbpasswd -a user-name

Return to “Mounting Partitions”
