Epson Dx4000 Bad Print Quality

Hi Folks,

I'm Running Mint 17.2 with Cinnamon & the print quality from my Epson is dire. Lots of thick horizontal bands in colour printing. I've tried printing my graphics from Gimp & also from Gnome image viewer. I've also tried to set the job to higher quality levels in the options.

I've downloaded & installed epson-inkjet-printer-escpr_1.6.0-1lsb3.2_amd64.deb & restarted CUPS but the print test page still looks awful.

What should I do next?
