Hi there,
Went to print something to "generic printer" thinking it was my printer but no. Installed the Samsung Unified Printer Driver, and the correct version for Samsung SCX 3100 (3.00.37). "Printers" in Linux Mint still doesn't recognise it. Tried the latest version - still no joy. Tried two printer cables. Where am I going wrong? When I used Ubuntu briefly before Linux Mint, I installed the driver and it worked. Cheers.

When I plugged the printer in this morning, it found it. Why it couldn't do this last night when I kept trying, I don't know.
Thanks for losing me hours of sleep, Linux Mint. I ended up having to borrow a friend's laptop to print something, at half ten at night.
Edit: This morning, the printer was off when I plugged it in. then I turned it on and it found it. Might have something to do with it.
