<SOLVED>Brother MFC-9120CN Scanner Installation

G'Day All, and Thanks in advance,
1. Open "/lib/udev/rules.d/60-libsane.rules" file.
2. Add the following two lines to the end of the device list. (Before the line "# The following rule will disable ..."):
If there is "LABEL="libsane_rules_end"", add the following 2 lines before "LABEL="libsane_rules_end"".
The lines to be added---------------------------
# Brother scanners
ATTRS{idVendor}=="04f9", ENV{libsane_matched}="yes"
3. Restart the OS.
Check to see if there is a “sane” directory in”usr/lib” if not make a dir: mkdir /usr/lib/sane - if the “sane” directory is not there a sane file will be created when copying the following files.
Copy the following files under /usr/lib64/ to /usr/lib/.
cp /usr/lib64/libbrscandec3.so.1.0.0 /usr/lib
cp /usr/lib64/sane/libsane-brother3.so.1.0.7 /usr/lib/sane
cp /usr/lib64/sane/libsane-brother3.so.1 /usr/lib/sane
cp /usr/lib64/sane/libsane-brother3.so /usr/lib/sane
cp /usr/lib64/libbrscandec3.so /usr/lib
cp /usr/lib64/libbrscandec3.so.1 /usr/lib
(I had a problem, there was no “/usr/lib64” & “/usr/lib64/sane” on my Laptop, there for none of the files listed were in these folders to copy to the “/usr/lib” & “/usr/lib/sane”.)
Any help and advice on how to solve this problem would be appreciated. Thanks, Smokey (TopEnder)
