No need to Reply guys, I need to take a good look and takes notes, and then apply this stuff again. Clearly I did not do all steps.

Re: Epson XP-310 Scanner Drivers Mate 18
After setting up my Epson WF-845 perfectly the first time with kyphi's instructions here, I tried it again with this XP-310 but it did not work, does anyone have an idea why this would be?

Also, when I ran
I got this Error:
Would this cause any problems with this scanner fix?
Don't know where to go from here
Thanks, pc

I have always seen the command written as ....... I would have to google to see if there is a difference; there are good arguments as to why to use gksudo: ....... I need to find "chapter and verse"
Code: Select all
gksudo gedit

Ahh, I see what you are saying, it's been a long time since I've used gedit. I think you are correct and will study up on it as it happened on two machines. I used KDE for a long time, so Kate and Nano were more of what I used. gedit is very nice to use so will definitely figure this out.pdc_2 wrote:I have always seen the command written as....... I wonder if you would get the same error messages if you used
........ you could "give it a whirl" in a terminal and see what happens ..................
Code: Select all
gksudo gedit /etc/sane.d/epkowa.conf
