I am a bit new to Linux and it has been going pretty good so far except for getting a scanner to work. Somebody please help. I have 2 to choose from, from what I have read the Cannon is a dead end (Canoscan 3200F) the Epson (perfection 2450 photo) sounded like it could be a winner but after trying multiple drivers Simple Scan and Image Scan and Scan Vue the scanner is still not recognized, I have also swapped cables.
There is so much info I don’t know where to start to diagnose the problem, could someone please teach me a few more things.
I am running a Toshiba Satellite C850D (laptop) with Mint 18.3 Sylvia.
Thanks in advance
