Good day,
today i want install in my new release of mint 18.3 cinnamon 64 bit - my printer wifi epson xp215 series...
in previous release ihaven't problem the system find my printer and install whithout problem.
In this relase don't find driver.
I search in google solution and find that i must install a "epson-inkjet-printer-201302w" .... i try install by synaptic but report an error in attach.
I solved only dowload driver by: http://download.ebz.epson.net/dsc/op/st ... _amd64.deb and install from .deb file
Now is all ok the system find my printer and setup is ok.
I suspect thet source.list repository of new release in not good or not update

I think what you are saying is that this driver should be available; as part of the official Mint repositories; well, I don't think that is going to happen;
besides, when the next version of Mint comes out in July, it will have airprint support; so your device will configure itself for you; https://support.apple.com/en-nz/HT201311
Epson used to make specific drivers; for each device; now they offer a generic driver; that works for all;

Penso che quello che stai dicendo sia che questo driver dovrebbe essere disponibile; come parte dei repository Mint ufficiali; bene, non penso che succederà;
inoltre, quando la prossima versione di Mint uscirà a luglio, avrà il supporto di airprint; così il tuo dispositivo si configurerà automaticamente per te; https://support.apple.com/en-nz/HT201311
Epson era solito creare driver specifici; per ogni dispositivo; ora offrono un driver generico; funziona per tutti;
