I have hardware :
Linux 18.3 Mint cinnamon computer that I am setting up to be a print server.
Brother 2140 printer
Windows 10 64 bit computer.
Ethernet switch where both computers are connected as well as the Internet modem .
I have followed instructions:
viewtopic.php?p=1476190#p1475375
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Netwo ... 28Samba.29
I have had to go through the process many times from beginning to end. Including deleting all printers, downloading the Brother driver, deleting all downloads.
Either the printer did not work, or did not stop printing blank sheets, or worked on the local Linux machine and client windows 10 computer.
OK...I just tested it on both computers, both printed.
The settings will not stick on the Linux computer.
Bumping my head, Stephen

Have you figured out *what* settings won't stick? Is a file you are editing being overwritten, for example, when a machine is rebooted? What exactly do you have to redo, to get it working again? Have you been re-running the install script from Brother? Also check that you are using a fixed IP addresses on your local network for the print server, if you can.
