I plugged in the usb and mint 19 installed the generic epson driver (32bit)
When I print I just get letters down one margin of the page but not the correct documents.
I tried installing the printer driver for the XP 245 but that doesn't work either.
Any suggestions on what to try?
edit: tried installing epson-inkjet-printer-escpr and it says already installed.

Re: Epson XP 245 not working
so you are running a 32bit install? If you type in a terminal, what do you get please?
If I were looking for a 32bit driver, I would go here http://download.ebz.epson.net/dsc/du/02 ... 0c4e476b55 and click to download and install what would be
epson-inkjet-printer-escpr_1.6.24-1lsb3.2_i386.deb
which it seems to me was released today; is it says 30th Aug
Is that the version you have? If you do, what do you get please?
(This model of XP is NOT-airprint-compatible, so relies on the Epson driver)
Code: Select all
uname -a

Re: Epson XP 245 not working
I managed to get this working by changing the default drivers that were loaded to a different one in the database list.
SO, must be an issue with the default identification on Mint.
