Brother laser HL 1110

Hello there,

I am new in this English forum because my knowledge of this language is not the best one. But I will try and hope that you can help me with a serious problem.
Recently I switched from Mint 14 (or something like that) to Mint 19 Cinamon Tara. I did this some years before from Ubuntu to Mint and was very satisfied about the new OS.
But now ... my Brother printer will not join the party. Constantly I got the message 'no print filter available' "afdrukfilter ontbreekt". Cannot find what a print filter is, were he is, were I can find some?
Slowly I am going crazy because since a week I am looking for a solution, trying much things ... no result!
