Connect wifi printer to pocket wifi?

Post by kayeng »

Hello Friends

I'm wondering if my wifi-capable printer Epson L355 can connect to my pocket wifi. It can connect to a modem-router of a local internet provider so I could print over wifi, but now I'm trying it over the pocket wifi. I can't seem to connect.

Typing this in the terminal,

sudo nmap -sn 192.168.1.0/24

yields this

Nmap scan report for 192.168.1.7
Host is up (0.21s latency).
Nmap scan report for 192.168.1.10
Host is up (0.20s latency).
Nmap scan report for 192.168.1.14
Host is up (0.20s latency).
Nmap scan report for 192.168.1.25
Host is up (0.063s latency).
Nmap scan report for 192.168.1.44
Host is up (0.054s latency).
Nmap scan report for 192.168.1.53
Host is up (0.23s latency).
Nmap scan report for 192.168.1.66

and on and on. It's a long list.

I go to System -> Printers -> click Add , but the pocket wifi ip address doesn't show up on the left panel.

On that left panel, I click Network Printer and a list of options drop down, I click Find Network Printer, I type in the pocket wifi's IP address,
it says, "No printer was found at that address"

By the way, I've also tried using my cellphone hotspot. Same failure.

Thank you for your time!
