(solved) Brother MFC-J470DW wont print on Mint Cinnamon 19
My computer Optiplex 755 Intel(R) core(TM) 2 CPU, 32-bit o.s.ram 3.00 GB. When I first installed Mint I was able to print but after I entered the second time I haven't been able to print. When I look at my printers nothing is there. How do I get my printer to work. Please understand I don't know anything about software or hardware and am completely clueless. Thanks, Sandy

You must start here and in Step 1, choose Linux then in Step 2, Linux (deb).

Be sure to click on the link that says Notes before installing that will show up when you go to download the Driver Install Tool.
I have a Brother MFC-J5830DW and there were several prerequisites needed.
Will you be connecting the printer through wireless or USB?

went to brothers web site and tried to load the drivers and didn't think I had finished it. But the printer is working so I must have done something right. thanks for your help.
