Just installed Linux Mint 19 on my Asus N705U laptop. I have a Canon Pixma MX922 multi function printer/scanner. Printer works fine, however Mint can't find the scanner portion in Simple Scan, Xsane, or even Scangearmp. I've even tried hooking up through USB to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Re: Canon MX 922 scanner not found Linux Mint 19 Asus N705U laptop
I received the solution on the Linux board. I hooked up the laptop to the Canon via USB, then re-booted. I then ran sane-find-scanner in the terminal. After running scan for scanners, It found the Canon! Sane still won't find the scanner, but scangearmp does. Working flawlessly wireless now.
