Konica Minolta printer/scanner installed, but the computer can't see the scanner.

I can't install a printer driver for KONICA MINOLTA pagepro 1480mf printer- scanner. I am using Ubuntu drivers, because they are available, but gksu install command (in readme) doesn't work. What is the proper command?

The scanner installs, but the computer says ''not found''.

Any ideas?

But I have managed to install the printer. I did it via command line based SCRIPT (that is the second setup way in README, which I didn't pay attention to in the beginning).

However, I will be very grateful if anyone can help with the gksu command (the first setup way in README), because I will certainly need it in the future, given I am a total beginner in Linux.

Try downloading vuescan and see if that finds the scanner.

I have tried it, but it didn't work. I also tried xsane and simplescan, but they couldn't detect the scanner either.
