Some times we need good news.
I have had earlier big problem to install the Canon TS8053 printer and scanner.

When trying out the 19.1 it picked up the printer from the ISO USB memory stick during the testing progress.
Guess who was happy. Printed out a tespage.
The scanner function is a separate issue, I have not tested yet. Hopefully it will work after install.
