Can only print 1 copy at a time

I have a wireless Brother MFC J995DW printer which has worked flawlessly until about a week ago. It still prints well but I can only print one copy at a time no matter what I set number of copies to. Under admin if I open printer it does indicate an error message when I print under view printer queue but I am unsure where the error message is recorded as I just see error

I think I fixed it. Under Printer Properties/Common Options/Copies I changed it from 1 to 0 now it seems to work

Fresh install of latest cinnamon mint. printer issues. prior version worked with multiple copies.
Will not print more than a single copy
Tried setting common options value to 0 as per reccomended in post above

Same here.. Brother DCP-J105 on WiFi, newest Linux Mint, reinstalled CUPS, all updates.. One copy - it does not matter on which program i try it gives just one copy.

I also encounter issues with printing larger documents. 25 Pages an Printer quits printing on third-forth page without error. It just stops in random place an spills the blank page out.

May-bye can someone guide how to pull log out of this to find problem?

Found that editing /etc/cups/ppd/PRINTER_NAME.ppd (replace your printer name) will work.

Find: cupsManualCopies: true
Change "true" to capital letter-T "True": cupsManualCopies: True

As far as I can tell, that was the only instance of not using a capital letter for a case-sensitive setting.

Same here with my Epson ET-2550 wireless printer.

I used to be able to print multiple copies, but I noticed yesterday, that it only printed 1 copy... argh!!!

for me, cupsManualCopies does NOT exist at all.

for another printer that I have, it does exist, and looks like this:

*cupsFilter: "application/vnd.cups-raster 0 /usr/local/lexmark/v3/bin/printfilter"


It would appear, that the actual position of that line may not be important??

Since my post, CUPS has taken control and corrected these issues. AFAIK, everyone is happy.
