canon mx515 problem

Hi a friend of mine is using linux mint 19.2 64bit and is unable to install canon mx 515 gets cups error etc it isdetected on network
but does not print cups error or pending. Any help would be great looked at lots of ways online but same error results cheers catfish2018

to get a URI and substute in

lpadmin -p mx515 -v URI -E -m everywhere

Then test with

lp -d mx515 /etc/nsswitch.conf

HI brian_p the scanner is now working but still not printing which is a bit crazy command $ lpadmin -p mx515 -v URI -E -m everywhere
lpadmin: Bad printer URI "URI was the result is this the problem it goes to print saids processing for a few seconds but does not print on wifi. Not using usb cable hope to chat soon catfish2018

The command is not

gives is what is substituted for URI. For example, if driverless gave you
