Mint 20 no colour printing.
I upgraded to Mint 20 (standard version) last night and I found my Xerox Phaser 6510 would only print in grey scale/B&W, After much messing about I Timeshifed back to 19.3 and colour printing is correct now.

Re: Mint 20 no colour printing.
Did you ever get your printer working under Mint 20? I just purchased a Phaser 6510, and I too am having difficulty getting it to print in color. I'm wondering if it's a driver issue or a Mint 20 issue. I can't seem to find a Linux driver for the 6510, so I am using the 6360DN driver.

Re: Mint 20 no colour printing.
From Xerox - Linux Package for Phaser 6510 - Do you have that in use?
Xerox Office Standard Driver .DEB x86_64 ..... https://www.support.xerox.com/en-us/pro ... ent/146849
As far as a Xerox Phaser 6200 DP color laser on Linux Mint 20 (Cinnamon) is concerned: the printer works perfectly, with all setting options.
In big difference to Windows and macOS where the Phaser has not been operational for many years.

Re: Mint 20 no colour printing.
I am having the same issue and MX-Linux, Manjaro 20 and Mint 20.
When I press the test page I get a colour copy
But when
I try to print a regular page in col our, it only prints black and white.
Now I can see why duckduckgo could not find any links to fix this problem.
Problems like these will do nothing to attract users to Linux and their cousins.
I will see if Xerox has a Linux driver.

Re: Mint 20 no colour printing.
Thank you, absque fenestris, as my Phaser 6180N is not listed.
Well at least your post saved more hours looking for a solution.
It is now good dat I reinstalled OS7, as Linux is providing to have
numerous defects.
What this tell me that manufacturers have no interest in providing drivers
for equipment that is a decade or older. They must figure that half or more
of their product is in the town [community] dump.

Certainly my Phaser is supported much better by Linux than yours ...

Re: Mint 20 no colour printing.
I did download dat file, however, it came up "read only."
I did not change any settings to the file system.
I must have the Mint 20 torture edition.
Yesterday, I received all of my DVD OS from linuxonline,
so I am seriously considering just doing a reinstall of 20.
I now regret leaving Mint 19.3, which had much less tech
issue. Maybe everyone should kept their current OS for a
decade before upgrading.
absque fenestris, thanks for the post which confirms I d/l
the correct driver.
BTW, this driver issue is not a Linux issue but it comes back again
to very poor documentation.

Re: Mint 20 no colour printing.
All you really need is the right PPD file for your Phaser.
Make a new "Phaser" folder in your "Home" folder and drag the appropriate PPD (something with Phaser or xrx 6180n.ppd) into it.
In the printer management "Choose Driver" you then navigate to this new Phaser folder and select this PPD file.
Please also see my post here: viewtopic.php?f=51&t=327672&hilit=printer+grey
My Phaser 6200DP has not been officially supported in Linux for a long time, but with this simple measure all printing, color and quality settings are fully accessible.
