[21/Cinnamon] - Mint Complaining About USB 2.0 Printer?

Hi,

I am using a new desktop that was custom built in June 2022.
I tried plugging in my old printer to USB 3.0 port but it would not work?
My motherboard out-of-the-box has no USB 2.0 ports.

Motherboard has connector for USB 2.0 rear bracket.
Old printer works in USB 2.0 port but the connection is lost frequently?
(constant system notifications every 1-2 hours that the printer has disconnected/connected?

Any ideas?

Likely more to do with the printer than the computer. We have Brother printers at the office, new and old. Found out real quick plugging into any USB3 ports is unreliable at best if not completely unusable. Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems. There may be an option in your BIOS to enable legacy support on some or all of the USB ports.

- Try with other port 3.0
( the port may have too little power or or a defective cable if it is connected with a cable )
- Check with a different cable
- Check with other hardware if you can.
