printer will not print

Post by jpatt »

I am running Xfce. My printers was working fine. I downloaded a PDF file
and tried to print it. now I cant print at all. my printer is connected directly to computer.
When I go to Printers I get printer state:
Stopped - No destination host name supplied by cups-browsed for printer
"HP_ENVY_4510_series_61AF37_@HPEC8EB561AF37.local", is cups-browsed
running?
also Printer make and model: HP ENVY 4510 series, driverless, cups-filters
1.27.4
what do I need to do to get cups working again?

Try

Code: Select all

systemctl restart cups-browsed
What Mint version is being used?

Re: printer will not print solved

I had hooked my wife's printer directly to my computer. before the same printer was setup to our wifi. my computer was seeing it as two printers. When I unhooked the printer and used it as a wifi printer everything worked fine.
