Linux Mint 9 stable.
Large PDF documents I print from document viewer seem to only print part of the document before stalling. This seems to have only come up recently. It seems as though for these documents too much of the document is sent to the printer at once, making the printer run out of memory (it is a Brother HL-2140 laser printer).
Is there a way to make the printer driver only send page a page at once or something like that so it doesn't run out of memory (other than manually doing this by printing off the document a few pages at a time which is what I am doing at the moment)?

Re: Large PDF documents stall - printer running out of memor
I have since fixed this problem on the version I was using at the time and Linux Mint 14.
The drivers that are installed when the printer is auto-detected do not work very well.
I installed the driver using this tool from the Brother website:

and printing works like a charm.
