Post by karuga »

I would like to know how to share a printer in a peer to peer wireless network.
All computers are in gloria.

Hi, I'm an Ubuntu user so I'm not sure how the menus are different.
It's pretty simple on Ubuntu though:
System > Administration > Printing
Click Server > Settings
Check the box next to "Publish shared printers connected to this system"

Hope this helps!! My apologies if it doesn't.
Please share your Linux printer experience!

If you do not have a Router that provides DHCP, then each machine & device needs a static IP address.
Edit network connections - IPv4 settings -> Manual . .

Eg:
  • 192.168.0.1, 192.168.0.2, 192.168.0.3, etc.
    subnet of 255.255.255.0
    gateway - leave blank
