Intel 8265/8275 not working on Asus Vivobook 15 M509DA

As the title says, the wifi is not visible in the network panel. It is visible when i run

command as

Intel Corporation Wireless 8265 / 8275 (rev 78)

Earlier I had dualbooted Mint with windows, The issue back then only happened when I booted to linux mint after using windows. I used it that way for about 1.5 year. But it was not that problematic. now I have ditched windows for mint.

I have scorched the internet but could not find a proper solution to the issue.

I have also reffered to viewtopic.php?t=287422 thread and could not fix it.

You say that you've "ditched Windows". Does that mean you've removed it from your machine? If so, did you ensure that fast restart was disabled before you shut it down and removed it?

If by fast restart you mean Fast Boot, then yes i have disabled it from BIOS. Also, I have completely removed windows and now it is a single boot system only running Mint

No, what I was talking about was fast restart in Win10 Power Management. Closing Win10 with it enabled leaves the drive in a state that can effect wifi in Mint.
