Computer cannot connect to internet

Post by theheerenhouse »

Since having Nordvpn installed on my desktop my computer has difficulty connecting to the internet. I could always solve this with a restart.
However, now restarting my computer is not solving the problem and I cannot get it to connect to the internet.
I have disabled the autoconnect in Nordvpn.
My handheld and phone connect to the internet using the same extender without a problem.
After having restarted the computer many times now, I have no idea where to look and what to do to solve this problem. (very limited user knowledge)

Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

Reason: Added code tags to inxi output to preserve its formatting. Moved from Software & Applications to Networking because the issue is not being able to connect to the internet.

Thanks for the reply.
If you think that Nordvpn might be the cause of this problem, would I not be better off by un-installing it and see if I can get the computer online again?

SOLVED; I have removed Nordvpn completely, restarted my computer and was able to go online again. :D
Tomorrow I will see if I can re-install it without having it create this blockage.
Thanks for the advice.

I can recommend Mullvad VPN:
https://mullvad.net/nl/

What makes it rather unique, is that it requires no subscription. Strictly prepaid.

Thanks for the referral Pjotr.
I have just paid for a year with Nordvpn.
Hopefully I will get it working properly again.
Will consider your recommendation at renewal date.
