Before posting on this site I always verify I have the latest version of Linux Mint Cinnamon installed and run Update Manager.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: VNC
Yeah I cant figure out how to make that tutorial work I will assume it was written for expert users not for dummies
Got to the part nano ~/.vnc/xstartup
Pasted in the
#!/bin/bash
xrdb $HOME/.Xresources
startxfce4 &
Then when I paste in the sudo chmod +x ~/.vnc/xstartup it looks like
#!/bin/bash
xrdb $HOME/.Xresources
startxfce4 &sudo chmod +x ~/.vnc/xstartup
With a flashing cursor.
Other confusion is it keeps referencing "Xfce desktop." whatever that is.
Tried searching this site for other tutorials but keeping getting the 3 letter error, this site will not let you search for VNC or VPN or any other 3 letter words for some reason.
FYI Setting up and connecting to my Raspberry Pi using Linux Mint was really simple and error free, setting it up so I can VNC from one Linux Mint computer to another Linux Mint computer is a whole different story.
Thanks.

Re: VNC
You certainly do not. For a basic setup, see e.g. viewtopic.php?f=42&t=351208
[EDIT] Note; rereading, the question and comment seem likely about the product "VNC Viewer" from RealVNC rather than about "a VNC viewer"; my above linked tutorial is aboout VNC in the general sense.
Re: VNC
+1, fiddled around with VNC a couple months ago to connect a couple machines. After the 3rd non-working tutorial I just said F it. Decided to try out nomachine and it just worked as excpected(or in fact better than expected) with no fiddling at all required
