After entering the first command it shows like this
pcilib: Cannot open /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:02:00.0/config

Hi sktweek, I have searched the Lenovo, Qualcomm and Linux and the Ubuntu Certification sites. Your wifi driver is "QCA9377 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter". The latest driver for your model (E41-25) is certified in Ubuntu 16.04.
I have been to the Ubuntu site and note that users on 20.04 have similar problems to you. The best reply seems to be "https://askubuntu.com/questions/1277359 ... -20-04-lts".
As an alternative buy yourself a wifi dongle. I use a Realtek dongle that is automaticall recognised by all distros.
Good luck.
Cheers, Mike

Lets see if it was a permission issue with the command

Code: Select all

sudo setpci -s 02:00.0 COMMAND=0x02
sudo modprobe -r ath10k_pci
sudo modprobe ath10k_pci
We can also try

Code: Select all

echo "blacklist ath10k_pci" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/ath10k.conf
Reboot, then do

Code: Select all

sudo modprobe ath10k_pci

You might have to try out Mint 19 and see if that works until the bug gets fixed in the kernel upstream

Might have found something that will work from a dmesg log on a bug report

Code: Select all

xed admin:///etc/default/grub
It will likely ask for password twice
Scroll down to

Code: Select all

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
Change it to add pci=realloc so that it is

Code: Select all

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash pci=realloc"
Save and exit, then in terminal

Code: Select all

sudo update-grub
Reboot

I have the same problem too. and mine laptop model is same. I previously had a ubuntu based distro called Super X with KDE plasma. There I could use wifi. In Mint I saw a option in the network manager => network connection=> add network.
there i saw a lots of option along with wifi. when I select wifi they asked me to put ssid and stuff like that.

Earlier that bluetooth thethering wasn't working but once i add the network in their I was able to use it.

So I think there maybe something to do with this option.

Try changing the grub option like above and see if it works. I wasn't aware that worked when I chatted with you on IRC

dont worry , e41-25 series will have its wifi driver itself , either you dual boot or using mint as a primary os just follow this solution.

just good to boot option under boot menu , change boot option to legacy support , now make sure EFI PXE:network.... is in first under EFI
use f6 and f5 to rearrange it and under leagacy move network boot first

now exit saving changes on exit boot menu

now you can see wifi working properly after rebooting

Guys, Just install the Linux MInt in Efi partition and then use the codes here he mentioned. Wifi option will come in Lenovo e41-25. Thankyou so much Linux community, so active, so responsive.

I had the same issue but after running your commands the problems were fixed. I would like to know what changes have been made to grub ?

Enable reallocating PCI bridge resources if allocations done by BIOS are too small to accommodate resources required by all child devices.
