I have been having issues with WiFi connectivity in Linux Mint 20. Every hour or so, my internet goes down. WiFi signal strength shows 0%. In the majority of these cases, simply turning WiFi off and back on will resolve the issue and it reconnects (at least for the next 30 to 60 minutes until it happens again). However, occasionally it will get stuck in a loop where it repeatedly asks me to re-enter my credentials (the WiFi password). I enter the password and press Okay, and it goes about trying to connect. It refuses to do so, and simply throws up the same window asking for the password again ~10 seconds later. This is only resolved by restarted the PC, at which point the WiFi reconnects, only to have the issues return in another 30-60 minutes of uptime. I have read through posts here and elsewhere by others having similar issues, and have tried to follow along with the help provided in those threads, but to no avail. The issues seem to be too specific to each user's hardware/software/etc, and thus the solutions provided therein have not worked for me. Thus, here I am. I would appreciate any help because I've been dealing with this for a few weeks and I'm at a loss!

Ah, I thought it might have worked (bought me a couple of hours problem free somehow), but alas, the issue has returned.
EDIT: I should note that I have tried switching USB ports and the problem seems to persist no matter which port I plug the adapter into. I purchased the adapter through ThinkPenguin, who advertised it as working out-of-box on Mint 20. I mean it technically does work, just with constant disconnects.

I'm having this same issue, and have been for about a year. I have followed every instruction suggested here, with the same results. Any update on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
I have the same issue. I also have a Atheros chip adapter with driver ath10k_pci.
Tried everything suggested and still the internet drops and wi-fi signal drops to 0.
Changed my router, just reinstalled Linux Mint 20.1 and still the same problem.
Changed the router channel from automatic to manual and tried different channels and still the same.
Disabled IPv6, same.
Only thing that makes the internet work for a couple of hours is to unplug and plug the router again.
After using only Linux Mint on my computer for almost 10 years, I think my only solution is to go back to Windows.
