USB wifi dongle/adapter for desktop

Post by evilweeble »

Hi, everybody,
Does anyone know what USB Wi-Fi adapter will work out-of-the-box, included as (I'm guessing here) part of the Mint kernel? I'm currently using a Panda PAU06, which works great, but only picks up 2.4GHz signals, not 5.0. It also runs really warm. And then it slows down. Something that works at 2.4 and 5.0 and doesn't need an additional driver downloaded would be great. Thanks In Advance

Go to the following site...

https://github.com/morrownr/USB-WiFi

There is a lot of information there and 58 links to usb adapters that will work on Linux without installing drivers.
