Hello,
Running Linux Mint 20.1. Have installed Zoneminder and Webmin. Port forwarded both ports on the modem/router to the corresponding correct (changed) ports. Both answer no problem via the LAN. When xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:10000 (webmin) or xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/zm/, not luck. Have attempted this on two different routers, different providers (Xfinity and Centurylink). No joy on either. So unless both providers are blocking ingress port forwarding, it has to be something on the Linux Mint device.
Help? Have searched and followed numerous HowTos with no luck.
UFW is disabled. Before I start mucking around with iptables, reaching out here.
Can anyone point to HowTO on port forwarding into a Linux Mint machine, running Webmin and Zoneminder?
Help??? A bit stumped.

Can also from this not distil what the problem would be. Can you install an SSH server,
sudo apt-get install openssh-server
onto the same system, forward port 22 in the modem/router and see if you can login over the internet using simple ssh drhii@you.rpu.bli.cip
if "drhii" is a user account on the machine? Rules out this being NOT specific to Zoneminder / Webmin (of which I know nothing).Re: Port Forwarding into a Linux Mint system
Do your routers have a IP loopback feature? Also to test port briefly set your internal/private server IP address as DMZ. If you have access then it's port issue.
