GPS internal module on Panasonic FZ G1 tablet : no signal

Post by mguer133 »

Hello eveyrone,
I am trying to get the internal GPS module to work (on navit as well).

Panasonic FZ G1 tablet
Linux mint

I followed this link but could not get any info aboutt the GPS module signal.

Code: Select all

https://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/116583/using-the-live-tracking-with-internal-gps
I have tried xgpsd, no signal.

Anyone has tried this as well?

Another user wrote this as a solution but I can not get GPSgate...
Thanks GPS gate worked a treat. Used it for my panasonic FZ-G1 Tablet for global mapper. In setting for global mapper i used Garmin format, COM 1 with 9600 Baud rate. In GpsGate i made the active output Virtual COM1/Garmin Emulator, while the input was COM3, 9600 baud rate.
Any commend I should try to know how the internal module is recognized? (port and baud rate).
