In windows it is possible to create an adhoc hosted wifi network by simply putting the following line into a cmd prompt: NETSH WLAN set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=Your_SSID key=Your_Passphrase and then activating it.
How do you create a hosted network in Mint?
This is a dual boot machine, and the hosted network works in Windows 10, so the hardware is capable. I want to host a wifi network without the need for a router in Mint as well. End result will be a mobile Emby server. Internet access is not required. I can make this work in a Windows setting, but would like to figure out how to do this in Ubuntu/Linus based system as well.
Thanks!
