[solved]mint 20.2 accessing win10 pcs drives with connect to server wont get me to the right drive

Post by Noal »

i can easy access on one of our win10 pcs the drive c, but if i try "share" D or $D or /D , i get error,or simply C again,
the drives are accessable from other win10 pcs easy, the login is fine, the ip's are static.

all i want is access drive D. i use the typical "connect to server"-> windows share-> workgroup, acc,pw. works great, i have now 3 times drive C bookmarked
can read n write,wouldnt do that..just tried

all versions i tried share d,D,/d/,/D/

any ideas?

nvm
forgot win doesnt just ip/drive, it has a sharename, i just checked my nt server scripts for that WS, funny that the C works without, but for D you need the script, then you can tag it and it is a bookmark, for permause.
