(I am currently using my old wifi adapter to browse forum as ethernet connection is not working.) As you can see in this image, the Ethernet icon on top right shows that ethernet is connected but I can't access the internet. (The router is working fine because I am using that wifi to post now.) Ethernet connection did work last night but now its not working. Things I have tried:

Code: Select all

1) sudo systemctl restart network-manager.service
2) sudo apt install git dkms
git clone https://github.com/cilynx/rtl88x2bu.git
sudo dkms add ./rtl88x2bu
sudo dkms install rtl88x2bu/5.6.1

Did you try reinserting the ethernet cable? If that's no help, restart router, modem & machine.
